Henry Moore in the Kremlin Museums

Henry Moore and the classic canon of modern sculpture exhibition opens on the 22nd of February 2012 in the Kremlin museums . The exhibition will be open till 10 May 2012.

The best art works selected for Moscow show the wide range of images and themes which excited Moore throughout his life, demonstrate his rich imagination, artist’s innovative creative thinking  and let us follow the evolution of his artistic ideas. Among the art works on display – Madonna with a child  sculpture model located in the church of Northampton – and one of the favourite artist’s works.

Art works are loaned by the Henry Moore Foundation, the British Council, Tate and UK private collections

The exhibition will take place in Odnostolpnaya palata and Uspenskaya zvonnitza.

In the run-up to Henry Moore exhibition  British Council and Moscow Kremlin Museums are delighted to announce the essay competition “ARTiculate!” in Russian, devoted to sculpture in contemporary urban spaces. The competition is designed for schools and university students.
