REVIEW EXTRACTS
‘There is almost nothing in the theatre to beat the discovery of an exciting new dramatic voice. I vividly remember the thrill of first encountering the demotic rhythms of David Mamet's dialogue, and I experienced a similar shiver down the spine during Tarell Alvin McCraney's remarkable The Brothers Size.’ Daily Telegraph (The Brothers Size)

‘Packing enough energy to power a couple of national grids, and enough decibels to lift several roofs, this South African company's take on two European masterpieces is likely to be the most joyous thing to his London this Christmas.’ The Times (A Christmas Carol/The Magic Flute)

‘The Young Vic are brushing off Brecht in big ways. Jane Horrocks is a superb piece of casting. Very, very ingenious… very, very enjoyable.’ Radio 3, Nightwaves (The Good Soul of Szechuan)

FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
Kafka's Monkey Based on A Report to an Academy by Franz Kafka. Adaptation Colin Teevan, direction Walter Meierjohann. Imprisoned in a cage, the ape-man reveals his rise through the ranks of the beasts to become a walking, talking, spitting, smoking, hard-drinking man of the stage. Kathryn Hunter plays the ape in Kafka’s witty and heart-rending tale of forced assimilation into an alien culture.

Been So Long A soul/funk musical for a new generation by Che Walker. Premiered at the Royal Court and runner-up for both the Meyer-Whitworth and the John Whitting Award. What happens when you put together a psycho, a mother, a convict, a nympho and a voyeur? The past and the future collide in a seedy bar in Camden Town, London.
