ARTISTIC POLICY
plan b either explore the nuances of their relationship or their relationship to a location or both – a kind of looking inward and outward at the same time. Often their pieces rely on material that is developed live and either presented to an audience in the moment as a performance or recorded and made available through a locative media project or video/audio walk. Alongside site-specific works they also create participatory projects for galleries.

REVIEW EXTRACTS
‘The performers in plan b have a kind of commitment – almost ethical, I am tempted to say – to pay attention, to actually continue listening and responding to each other honestly.’ Ehren Fordyce, Theatre Journal

‘The video-walk Departures by plan b stood out as the most complex work [in the festival].’ Tom Mustroph, Frankfurter Rundschau (Departures)

‘In their performances and installations, [plan b] combine sharp observation with cultivated English humour.’ Benjamin Foerster-Baldenius, AusFlugHafenSicht Catalogue, 2008

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Bed Full of Songs A durational performance where two people sit in a double bed, singing all the songs they can remember until the duvet cover is full of the song titles. (3–4 hours, spectators free to come and go, suitable for theatres/galleries in a festival context, 2 on the road.)

MySpace – YourSpace – OurSpace A participatory project, suitable for shop windows or public places where people are invited to make their own 'realspace' – an actual glue, paper and object version of a MySpace or Facebook profile. One week residency or more. (4 on the road or 2 on the road and 2 local facilitators.)

The Last Hour An unrehearsed performance in which two people who share lives together have half an hour each (strictly regulated by chess clock) to say everything they have to say as if it is the last hour they have together. Can only be performed once a year. (1 hour, 2 on stage, 3–4 on the road.)

you, me and everywhere we go A visual art/new media gallery installation of all the everyday movements of two people, captured as GPS tracks and featuring other personal material such as the text messages they send each other. (2 on the road plus technical support at the venue.)

A Message to You An outdoor durational performance where two people shout out all the (unedited) text messages they have sent each other in the preceding year. (3–4 hours, 2 performers, 2 on the road.)

A Bicycle Made for You A tandem is used by plan b to shoot video in the streets around the venue. This film is then presented on the tandem and made available to one audience member at a time by pedalling and watching a screen on the back of the performer. (5–6 hours a day, 2 on the road, plus a local facilitator/ assistant.)
