Pilot Theatre won the award for Best Show for Young People at the 2008 TMA/Stage Awards for Looking for JJ.

REVIEW EXTRACTS
‘Brilliant – stunning production... superb ensemble... skilful direction. If you see nothing else, see this.’ Manchester Evening News (Lord of the Flies)

‘This is a genuinely important piece of young people’s theatre, every bit as thoughtful and demanding as its audience deserves.’ The Times (Looking for JJ)

‘This is astonishingly grown-up and hard-hitting theatre for young people.’ The Guardian (This Child)

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
The Fever Chart Three visions of the Middle East By Naomi Wallace. Three stories that explore the possibility of humanity in the most inhumane conditions. The play draws us into a world of intense emotion set against the realities of war. This play contains some explicit language. (85 mins, 3 on stage, 5 on the road.)

Catcher in Their Eye by Richard Hurford. A man obsessed with Holden Caulfield, the fictional protagonist of J.D. Salinger's novel Catcher in the Rye. This is the story of Mark Chapman – the man who shot John Lennon – on his last night of anonymity. This play contains some strong language. (60 mins, 2 on stage, 4 on the road.)

FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare. Working with a range of artists, this production will build on Pilots’ reputation for accessible, relevant productions incorporating sound and projection. With a Manga influence, this will be a stunning telling of the world's most famous love story. (Length tbc,12 on stage, 15 on the road.)
