ARTISTIC POLICY
Oxford Playhouse and its Burton Taylor Studio present a vibrant, year-round programme of British and international drama, family shows, contemporary dance and music, student and amateur shows, comedy, lectures and poetry. It produces and tours its own shows, co-produces with national and international partners, hosts Artists in Residence and presents Playhouse Plays Out, an ongoing series of off-site events that happen at locations across the county.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
One Small Step An eccentric, funny and surprisingly moving piece of visual theatre about the race between America and Russia to get the first man on the moon. (60 mins, no interval. 3 on the road.)

Von Ribbentrop’s Watch A darkly comic play. A financially strapped north London Jewish family struggle with a dilemma during Passover dinner, revealing secrets, lies and a ghostly appearance by Hitler’s Foreign Minister. (Approximately 2 hours plus interval, 10 on the road.)

WRAP-AROUND
Pre- and post-show talks and discussions.

Workshops and masterclasses for professionals and non professionals. Topics could include: devising, characterisation, use of objects, actor technique, storytelling technique, directing new writing, and workshops tailored to group’s needs.
