The Citizens Theatre is one of Scotland’s leading theatres dedicated to creating exciting theatre that is life enhancing and accessible to all. We offer audiences a fully rounded theatre experience in Glasgow and on tour from participation and creative learning projects to great productions that can travel the world including new interpretations of the classics, new work and TAG’s specially created work for children and young people and an extensive education and outreach programme.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Museum of Dreams Will the arrival of a new exhibit at a snore-boring museum help the grumpy museum attendant find happiness? An enchanting show built specially for small people with big imaginations. For children, six to eight years old and families. (45 mins, no interval, 2 on stage, 5 on the road, specially designed environment requiring a room with flat floor and blackout approximately 15 metres by 12 metres, height 4.5 metres, maximum audience 45.)
Sound of My Voice Morris Magellan has a house in the suburbs, nice wife and kids… but there’s one major problem. He is a chronic alcoholic and his life is falling apart. Includes strong language. (1 hour 20 mins, no interval,2 on stage, 3 on the road.)
FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
New David Greig Commission for TAG (title to be confirmed). Suitable for ages 14 +. A new play with music inspired by the life experiences of young carers in Fife, Scotland. (One hour 15 mins with no interval, 4 on stage, 6 on the road.)
New Sue Glover commission (title tbc). Suitable for adults. A new commission based on the meeting of Marilyn Monroe and Simone Signoret in the Beverley Hills Hotel. (2 hours 15 mins plus interval, 4 on stage, 8 on the road.)

Post-show discussions available for all shows. Workshops available for Museum of Dreams (6–8 years), Sound of My Voice (adults) and the new David Grieg Commission (14+ age range).
