Penn State Erie, The Behrend College believes that a liberal education should prepare students for a lifetime of professional success and intellectual engagement.  Accordingly, it is important for students to participate in a community of scholars that includes the diverse perspectives and life experiences that they will encounter over the course of their life.  In order to underscore its commitment to providing a rigorous education, Behrend College has developed a definition of diversity.
