Outreach Workshops and Consultation

The Personal Counseling Office offers presentations for the Behrend community on issues such as relationships, depression, stress, and anger management.  This allows our office to reach a larger number of students than would otherwise be possible.

On occasion, a student, faculty or staff member may wish to talk with a personal counselor about a student suffering from emotional distress, about counseling referrals, or other related matters. Such consultations are available by appointment or by telephone. In addition, personal counselors act as consultants to the Resident Assistants, Student Activities staff, Health & Wellness staff, Police and Safety officers, and academic departments.

How to request a workshop or presentation:

We are able to respond to requests for programs and consultation based on staff availability, the clinical needs of students and the timing of the event. We ask that you give at least 2 weeks notice.  More notice is desirable when requesting programs at peak periods and when the event requires advanced preparation to meet your needs.  The Personal Counseling staff work hard to meet each and every request.

To request an outreach program, please contact Personal Counseling Staff Assistant, Linda Kaleta, at 898-6504.
