Biology Central Services

Biology Central Services (BCS) is a central administrative unit which supports the three academic biology departments:

In addition, Biology Central Services provides assistance to Biotechnology, the Museum of Natural History and, on occasion, Biology Regional Campus programs. 

The Head of Biology Central Services is Paul W. Betts. The reporting structure of Biology Central Services can be found in the  BCS organizational chart.

BCS provides support in the following areas: 

  1. Administrative Services

  2. - Accounting, Grant Management, Purchasing, Payroll, Travel, etc.

  3. Infrastructure/Building Management

  4. - Facilities liason, building infrastructure, Academic Renovations (AR)

  5. Laboratory Services

  6. - Class lab coordination, research infrastructure

  7. Information Services

  8. - Scientific Illustrations; Computer Consultant
