Our Bookkeeping and Payroll courses are designed to provide those new to these fields, seasoned professionals, and small business owners with essential skills and knowledge to perform these most critical business functions.

Our Bookkeeping courses range from classes covering the most basic bookkeeping topics to advanced topics such as merchandising businesses, the periodic inventory system, classified financial statements, closing and reversing entries and inventory valuation. Our Bookkeeping Certificate program and AIBP exam review course, endorsed by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB), is designed to prepare you to sit for the AIPB exam. (AIPB certification is required for staff bookkeepers in many large companies.)

Courses in our Payroll specialty area cover both basic and advanced topics and prepare those new to the field for the American Payroll Association's Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) exam. Experienced payroll professionals can gain compliance training, professional development or preparation for the APA’s Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) exam through our advanced courses.

Baruch College, a business leader located in New York City - the financial capital of the world - has a long tradition of excellence in providing a foundation in accounting and financial practices. We continue to remain on the cutting edge of these fields, continually updating and expanding our hands-on, industry-driven curriculum.
