In the multinational workforce of the 21st Century, it is impossible to ignore the critical role Human Resources plays in achieving organizational success. Professionals pursuing or continuing a career in HR require continuing training and certification to demonstrate a commitment to this constantly evolving discipline and to keep their skills and knowledge up to date.

Baruch’s HR and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) classes and certificates are designed to meet the needs of HR professionals at every level. We develop our Human Resources courses and certificates based on input from the Greater New York Metro market, our own surveys and those reported by national HR professional organizations. Our Human Resources Advisory Board - including HR professionals representing corporations, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, small businesses and healthcare facilities throughout the New York area - reviews our curriculum for relevance and up-to-the-minute content.

  • Our CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) courses prepare you to sit for the examinations that qualify you to use the CEBS designation. All instructors of this program have their CEBS certification, and can assist you in focusing on critical material, understanding test-taking strategies, and more.
  • Our courses offered in partnership with SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) prepare you for certification exams leading to PHR, SPHR, and GPHR professional designations.
  • Our HR management courses provide a well-rounded approach, focusing on the most critical HR specialties, including Compensation, Benefits and Employment Law, Labor Relations, Performance Management and Recruitment.

If you are considering a career in Human Resources or relatively new to the field, our HR Fundamentals Certificate will help you choose or add a practice area. Certificates in Organization Development and Compensation and Benefits provide paths to specialization.
