    This experiential course is intended to help you better understand the theory, processes, and practices of negotiation, conflict resolution and decision making so that you can be a more effective negotiator in a wide variety of situations. The course methodology is highly participatory, and utilizes class discussions and simulations in both one-on-one and group situations.     This course is for managers, supervisors and professionals who want to understand the basics of finance and accounting. The course benefits any manager, business executive or owner who needs to understand, prepare, analyze and communicate financial information. Topics include: introduction of basic accounting and financial concepts; financial statements, such as the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and financial ratios; application of accounting and financial principals to managerial decisions; understanding the time value of money present value and future value concepts; and the interaction between financial and strategic decisions. The main purpose is to normalize financial statements and show what bankers, investors and financial managers see when they read a balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows.
