Promoting learning and development in academic and business environments is best accomplished through knowledge of current thought and practice in adult learning.  Our Instructional Design classes will enable you to design programs with special appeal to adults in particular contexts, enhancing classroom and on-the-job performance to result in an improvement in productivity, morale, and more.  These courses are hands-on and project-based, enabling you to learn by doing.

In this hands-on course, participants practice applying the principles of instructional systems design and proven instructional design models to specific training projects. The course will focus on the effective evaluation of training and performance interventions, how to design effective performance-based learning objectives, holistic training program design, and strategies for the use of contemporary technologies to enhance instruction.

Facilitating training in blended and virtual classroom environments demands a new set of planning and teaching skills. This course focuses on facilitation skills for online teachers working or preparing to work in blended environments and in the new generation of online classrooms. The class also includes a focus on the use of key Web 2.0 tools (wikis, blogs, podcasting, etc.) as aids for online teaching and organizational knowledge management.
