Dollars & Sense Student Magazine Picks Up Prestigious Gold Crown Award for Second Time

For the second time in three years, Dollars & Sense, the Baruch College journalism department’s online student magazine, has won the Gold Crown award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, recognizing it as one of the two best online college magazines. ?The awards are the most prestigious in college journalism.

In the intervening year, Dollars & Sense won a Silver Crown. In more than 30 years as a print publication, the magazine won numerous Gold and Silver Crowns.

Congratulations go to Andrea Kayda, the editor-in-chief, and other student contributors and to?Prof. Roslyn Bernstein, the founding publisher; editorial advisers Profs. Andrea Gabor and Joshua Mills; webmaster Craig Stone; Prof. Vera Haller, whose multimedia classes contributed greatly; and Prof. Fran Antmann, who assisted with photography and whose students helped to build slide shows for the site.
