The Office of Academic Technology (AT) provides resources, technical assistance, and equipment to assist the University of Florida faculty, staff and students. The three general divisions of AT include support for media services, instructional technology and teaching/learning.

2011-2012 Technology Fee Awards Announced
The winning proposals for 2011-2012 Technology Fee funding have been announced. The tech fee committee recommended awarding funds to the following projects:
- Reinventing Higher Education Classrooms One Room at a Time (Dr. Suzanne Colvin, Dr. Penny Cox, Trace Choulat)
- Software Mobility for Students (Michael Kutyna)
- Taking UF Classrooms to the Next Level: Hyper-Hybrid Learning Centers (Dr. Edward Schaefer, Dr. Don Chaney, Dr. Margaret Fields)

Spring 2012 Interface Faculty Seminar – April 26
UF’s Technology Innovations Advisory Committee (TIAC) invites faculty members to submit a presentation proposal for the spring 2012 Interface Faculty Seminar on April 26. The seminar is designed to engage instructors through demonstrations and discussion on how to use new and emerging technologies to improve teaching and learning.
Web Services: New Web Page, New Templates
The Web Services team recently held two workshops to assist campus staff in using the new UF templates. The templates and the presentations from the workshops are available online for download. For faculty and staff who would benefit from additional training, Web Services developers created 24 “just in time” online video tutorials.
Software Packages Available at the Hub
The UF Computing Help Desk has added a new software package to the titles distributed at Hub 132. The IBM© SPSS© Statistics Premium educational package can be purchased for a $35.00 licensing fee. It is for use by faculty, staff and students and is distributed solely for Home Use Licensing.
