What can you do with an American Studies degree?

Attain PhD’s and become university professors
Work for historical commissions, arts alliances, museums, and libraries
Teach English or Social Science in public high schools
Serve as school counselors, principals and State Officials in the education field
Serve the Department of Labor, in the Social Security Department
Practice law or medicine; one is in the CIA
Hold positions in banking, real estate insurance, and sales and management
Work for historical commissions, arts alliances, museums, and libraries
Serve the community as social workers, paralegals, political campaign coordinators, urban planners, entrepreneurs and business owners
Work for advertising agencies and public relations firms, and to make impressions on society as screenwriters and professional musicians
