The Public Relations and Communications Department at Algonquin College is responsible for a broad portfolio that includes Media Relations, Internal Communications, Community Relations, and Government Relations.

The Department is also responsible for ensuring that the College community is made aware of events and announcements. Internal communications with staff are achieved through a College-wide Intranet site called myAC. The site includes announcements that are updated throughout each day, as well as essential work-related College information for faculty and staff.

In addition, each morning College staff receive a daily e-mail newsletter, Good Morning Algonquin, that keeps them abreast of current news and events at the College. Internal communications to the student body are achieved through a variety of means including email and Blackboard.

Major corporate events, including the opening of new buildings, are coordinated through Algonquin’s Public Relations and Communications Department. The Department is also responsible for coordinating the production of corporate documents such as the Annual Report.
