Explanation of Program Name Terminology
Apprenticeship - These programs provide the necessary work experience and academic requirements to write Apprenticeship exams. Applicants must be working in the field and registered as apprentices, prior to admission. The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Apprenticeship and Client Services Branch determines eligibility for admission.
Co-op Option/Co-op - Cooperative education is offered as an option in some programs and is mandatory in others. Provides students with practical, program-related work experience and is scheduled at designated intervals in the program.
Intensive - Program is delivered in a shorter period of time, but provides the same accreditation as a regular 2-year diploma program.
Modified Delivery - Program is delivered online followed by an intensive practical level on campus.
NSDP - Non-semestered Diploma Program. Some programs are compressed, to allow students to finish in a shorter period of time. Normally scheduled for 48 to 64 continuous weeks of study.
