The WebCT service at UAlbany will be retired at the conclusion of the Fall 2007 semester and will be replaced by Blackboard Learning System CE6 (BLS). To obtain a BLS course site faculty must submit this form for each course they would like a site for. Each instructor will be enrolled in the self-paced, on-line training course, Designing Your Course, which will provide instruction on the basic features of BLS.
Courses developed in WebCT may be converted to BLS however, the results of the conversion process can not be guaranteed. Faculty Technology Resources strongly recommends that course designers/instructors "refresh" their course material by starting with a new course shell. If you are interested in having a WebCT course converted to BLS, requests should be submitted using this form 6-8 weeks prior to the start of the semester. Conversion requests received after that date will be processed on a best effort, first come-first serve basis.
