Content Management System
for the campus
The mission of The Office of Marketing and Communications is to effectively, accurately and efficiently market the University and communicate with the University’s many audiences, both internally and externally, through increasingly sophisticated technologies and the highest quality messages and materials. This work is carried out in concert with academic and non-academic departments in every area of the University.
The Office is committed to supporting the University’s objectives as they relate to enrollment and retention, the use of financial resources, enhancing the University’s image, technology and community engagement. We are staffed by professionals who provide the expertise and resources to the University for brand management, media relations, marketing research and planning, message and design creation, publication and new media services, University website management, institutional advertising and in-house printing.
Provide development for top level pages of the YSU Web site, including the home page, plus interactive web page applications (e.g., forms, flash animation, etc.). The YSU web team also provides assistance to departments in setting up their websites in two campus content management systems (i.e., ContentM and OU Campus). This includes creating a template for the web site design, moving content over from current site (if applicable), and providing training for department web editor on using OU Campus to mange their site.

The Office of Marketing and Communications is responsible for the following publications: YSU Magazine, YSU News and News Briefs, and the eUpdate. The University web site is also managed through this office.
