High-School Students Recognized in UA’s ‘Mockingbird’ Essay Contest

High-school student winners in The University of Alabama’s 15th annual “To Kill A Mockingbird” Essay Contest will be recognized on campus with a luncheon and awards ceremony at 11:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Center Ballroom Friday, Feb. 5.

UA’s Public Speaking Program Receives National Recognition

The National Communication Association named The University of Alabama public speaking program as one of the 2015 Programs of Distinction. The award, given by the organization’s basic course division, honored the College of Communication and Information Sciences’ program for its outstanding efforts to cultivate student excellence in oral communication.
