The Teaching Resource Center (TRC) is a pan-University center for collegial community and committed conversation about teaching at all levels and in all academic disciplines.
The TRC offers a number of services and resource materials designed to enhance the teaching abilities and professional development of faculty and teaching assistants at the University of Virginia. The TRC also administers several special programs, recognizes the skills and accomplishments of faculty, and aides in the development of courses.
For more details, please refer to the Center’s mission, values, and guiding principles statement.
Looking for help assessing student learning?
If you are interested in applying the principles of evidence-based assessment to the relationship between college teaching and pedagogy and student learning outcomes, visit the Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (CASTL-HE).
The Center regularly collaborates with the Office of Institutional Assessment & Studies in their work assessing University- and school-wide programs and activities.
The Center appreciates the vital collaborative work with other UVa units involved in teaching and learning. Click here for an expanded list of our collaborations.
