The Center of Continuing Studies has responsibility for the Bachelor Of General Studies, Bachelor of Professional Studies and Non-Degree Programs.
The Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) program is a customized, interdisciplinary program where students will take courses from many different disciplines. The program is designed for individuals who have an Associate’s Degree or who have earned 60 or more credits from a regionally accredited institution. A BGS student may choose a specific theme or choose any minor the University offers or may choose to do both. Graduates may pursue graduate programs in many fields such as a Master’s of Social Work, Master’s in Business Administration, Master’s in Education, Law School, Ministry, etc.
The Bachelor of Professional (BPS) program is designed specifically for students who want to transfer to UConn and have 60 college credits or an Associate's degree. You can choose to study from one of three professional areas of concentration: Occupational Safety & Health, Organizational Studies, and Web Technology.
The Non-degree program enables qualified individuals to register in regular credit courses for academic credit without being formally admitted to an undergraduate degree program.
