Back in 1995, when UConn’s current undergrad student population was either in diapers or gearing up for the first grade, our fair university received about 10,800 applications for admission.
Now, about 17 years later, The Lookout sees that roughly 30,000 prospective students have applied for undergrad admission to UConn for the fall of ’12. This is an astonishing number that beats even last year’s astonishing number of about 28,000.
Of the 30,000, the university expects to enroll about 3,200 or so at the Storrs campus. That’s pretty competitive.
