Emergency Closing Information

The University of Connecticut has in place a University Alert Notification System which provides a number of ways in which the University may contact the community in the event of an emergency. There are several components of the University Alert Notification System including website alerts, email and text messages. For a complete understanding of this sytem please visit http://alert.uconn.edu/. The text message alert service is available to the UConn community and you can register you cell phone today. Follow the registration link, log in using your NetID and password, and then enter your cell number and provider.

UConn Stamford Campus Text Messaging System

The University of Connecticut Stamford campus is pleased to announce a new service available to students, faculty & staff of the Stamford campus. You are now able to receive text messages sent to your cell phone for campus closings and weather-related delays and cancellations. The UConn Stamford Campus Text Messaging System is free of charge, but your cell phone plan's normal text message rates will apply. This new service is for Stamford campus only and does not apply to any other regional campus or the Storrs campus.

Email Announcements

Students will receive email notifications through their HuskyMail or Google Apps account. (See Google Apps @ UConn for information on how to Opt-In to Google Apps for Education!)

Faculty and Staff will receive email through their UConn Exchange accounts ( Outlook Web Access)
