Scott Knazek was named Head Coach of the Burlington County College (BCC) Baseball team in August of 2011.
Knazek is a former Rider University catcher and was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 15th round, in 2006. He spent two seasons with the Angels and played as far as High A. Knazek also played Independent Professional Baseball for the St. Paul Saints, Newark Bears, New Jersey Jackals and Pittsfield Colonials, for a total of six professional seasons.
In addition to playing baseball, Knazek was the Hitting/Catching Coach for the BCC Barons from 2009-11. Under his guidance, the Barons won a Region 19 championship and finished in the top 20 for team batting average (Div. II JUCO) in 2009. The Barons saw more success in 2010, finishing runners-up in the Region 19 tournament. In 2011, after finishing first overall in the regular season, the Barons met with a disappointing end, going 2 and out in the region 19 tournament. As the Head Coach, Knazek plans on seeing many more winning seasons.
