It also maintains an on-line directory of software licenses managed at the University of Florida. Microsoft software for UF students
UF is partnering with Kivuto Solutions Inc. to provide the following Microsoft software free to students:
- Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Desktop Operating System Upgrade
- Microsoft Windows 8 Upgrade
- Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 for Windows
- Microsoft Office Standard 2011 for Macintosh
Visit our OntheHub Download Portal to obtain free Microsoft software.
The OnTheHub program is available only to currently enrolled students. For help with the OnThe HUB program or to find out more about software available visit UFIT's software page, or stop by the UF Computing Help Desk, HUB 132.
Please be aware that under this agreement, students are entitled to install only one copy of Windows Ultimate Upgrade and one copy of Microsoft Office Suite. Installation media can be purchased from the UF Computing Help Desk or one of UF's four on-campus distribution locations for $15.00 + tax.
On-campus distribution locations include the UF Computing Help Desk, the Reitz Union Bookstore, the UF&Shands Bookstore, and the Levin College of Law Bookstore.

Faculty and Staff of the University of Florida can use at home the Microsoft software products listed below.

Please be aware that under this agreement, UF faculty, employees and Shands employees are entitled to install only one copy of Windows 8 Professional Upgrade and one copy of Microsoft Office Suite. Installation media can be purchased from the UF Computing Help Desk or from one of UF's four on-campus distribution locations for a cost of $15.00 + tax.

Redhat "Home use" program (for faculty, staff and students)
The Redhat Home Use Program portion of the Red Hat Enterprise Licensing Agreement is being offered as a self-service licensing program to UF Faculty, staff, and students. Through this licensing program, faculty, staff, and students can obtain the current version of the Red Hat operating system and receive updates for their operating systems through the university's Red Hat Satellite Service.
Qualtrics
Qualtrics, the online survey software, is now available free for all faculty, students, and staff. UF Information Technology (UFIT) purchased a campus-wide license to make Qualtrics, a premium service for creating and delivering online surveys, free for the UF community. Lynda.com for UF faculty, staff and students
lynda.com is an online training resource partner of UF. lynda.com's online training library has over 1,100 courses, ranging from web development, animation, and video graphics to courses in business software and Microsoft SharePoint training. To access this service, visit the University of Florida's lynda.com web site portal.
