Global-eyes

The Global-eyes project introduces the topic of globalisation and demonstrates how this phenomenon is changing our world and highlights the exciting implications it has for your students.

Aimed primarily at key stage 3 students, Global-eyes is based on young people's real experiences and presented via social networking pages – a subject close to most students’ hearts.

Outcomes and resources

For three years this inspiring programme gave talented 18-19 year-olds the chance to visit countries with major emerging economies, Brazil, India or China. They then returned home and shared what they had learnt with young people in the wider community.

For Global-eyes, nine of these young people have created 'profile pages' containing videos, blogs, pictures and postings specially designed to help you run six interactive lessons.

The project was funded by the Department for Education and has its origins in the Global Fellowship programme, managed by the British Council.
