Join a global activity

You don't have to spend time finding partners and planning projects when there are so many activities up and running to join in! Any of these ongoing collaborative activities could be suitable for International School Award accreditation.

Heard of Flat Stanley? It's an online project ideal for younger children. They've run this project for many years and all the templates, tips and examples of what children have done make this site a great way to jump on the Flat Stanley Wagon. FREE

For a starter activity for children under 11, why not look at the Monster Exchange project. It is similar to Flat Stanley but with more of a literacy focus and less focus on the geography and location of the school you are linked with. FREE

ePals forums are one of the simplest ways to extend a topic into an international context. Once you have registered your class they can post questions and share ideas on the ePals student forums – then return next week to see what replies they have picked up. You'll find more details in Discussions and debates. FREE

VOTW is a global project that unites children's voices from around the world. Each month a task is set by Mrs Tonner at The High School of Dundee that uses voice and ICT. The tasks are designed to overcome language barriers and develop an appreciation of different languages, accents and dialects. FREE

Superclubs Plus offers a great global learning experience through a shared social learning network for young people who can be registered by their teacher.
