Forum regulations

To use the forum you must be over 18 and be a teacher at the school that’s mentioned in your profile. In some cases we’ll do a spot check to make sure that this is the case.  Please follow these forum regulations. Your post will be removed if it:

  • is judged likely to provoke or offend others
  • is racist, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit, abusive or otherwise objectionable
  • contains swear words or other language likely to offend
  • breaks the law or condones or encourages unlawful activity
  • contains email addresses
  • This is because web crawlers can collect these email addresses and they can become subject to spam. Please exchange personal email addresses only with an individual teacher by personal message, not on the open forum posts.]
  • appears to impersonate someone else
  • requests email addresses or any other personal information relating to third parties, including minors
  • advertises products or services for profit or gain
  • describes or encourage activities which could endanger the safety or well-being of others
  • is 'spam' - a  post that contains the same, or similar, message posted multiple times
  • is considered to be off-topic for the particular message board
  • promotes a service in a way that is advertising rather than personal recommendation from a teacher who has used that service in their work.

If you see posts on the forum that you think contravene our regulations, please contact us.

See Making contact for more about online safety and protecting pupils.
