The electrical and computer engineering technology major provides practical, hands-on study related to the application of technology within the field of electrical engineering.
The college offers both a four-year B.S. degree and a two-year associate degree in electrical engineering technology.
Nearly every class offered in the curriculum has a laboratory associated with it. The intent is to merge the lecture and lab together such that information from one source supports the other. It differs from the traditional electrical engineering major, which focuses upon the application of theoretical and scientific principles, and it also differs from technical programs, which focus upon the development of skills used for repair and maintenance of products.
