Educational podcasting at the Pennsylvania State University
Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT), a unit of Information Technology Services, offers the Digital Commons at Penn State initiative to equip every campus location with a fully supported digital media production studio. All Penn State students, staff, and faculty have access to Digital Commons facilities with the means to create digital content to enrich coursework.
http://podcasts.psu.edu/start Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) and Education Technology Services (ETS) is proud to announce the continuation of the Penn State Podcasting Initiative/Pilot for the Fall 2008.
Program Focus
Podcasting is a simple yet effective way to engage students in and out of the classroom. ETS is announcing a program to support the creation, management, and distribution of both audio and video podcasts for teaching and learning purposes. We are actively seeking instructors who are interested in creating podcasts to support their learning environments.
To get started with podcasting for your course, simply fill out the course request form and we will contact you to discuss your needs.
If you are interested in podcasting not related to a specific course (ex. for a department), please fill out the form at http://podcasts.psu.edu/showsetup.
Back in the 210F Studio, Cole, Allan, Brad, and Chris Stubbs sit down to talk about our reactions to the 2008 TLT Symposium, discuss some interesting new thoughts with the Blogs at PSU, and reflect on the new Flickr video announcement.
