The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences

is home to world-class faculty engaged in research in medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, and pharmacology & toxicology. The department includes the Pfizer Distinguished Endowed Chair in Pharmaceutical Technology, Michael Pikal, and the Boehringer Ingelheim Endowed Chair in Mechanistic Toxicology, Urs Boelsterli. Three faculty are Board of Trustees Distinguished Professors, Diane Burgess, Debra Kendall, and John Morris. Our community includes postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and professional students who study and carryout research with the goals of discovery, scientific exchange, and health care improvement.

Postdoc & Student Spotlight

Ph.D. Graduate Receives AIChE Poster Award

Ekneet Sahni, a Ph.D. graduate in pharmaceutics working with Professor Bodhi Chaudhuri, won the best poster award in the Particle Technology Forum Poster Session at the Annual Meeting of American Institute of the Chemical Engineers (AIChE) in Minneapolis, MN on October 16-21, 2011.
