UConn Parent Talk is produced by the University of Connecticut Parents Association in conjunction with the Division of Enrollment Planning and Management and the University of Connecticut Foundation. Parents and guardians of undergraduate students receive UConn Parent Talk three times a year (August, January, and May). A variety of articles are chosen for each issue to represent both the needs of the parents and the University alike. Topics range extensively from campus events and developments to tips and advice on numerous subjects regarding UConn students.
In 1999, the Parents Association commissioned a parent newsletter in order to keep families well informed and connected to the University, and on May 2nd the executive board approved the the name Parent Talk for the newsletter. The premier issue debuted in August. As you may have noticed, the January 2010 issue was redesigned to present a fresh new look, but still keep the same great content that Parent Talk has always had since it began more than 10 years ago.
We welcome any comments or suggestions. Please direct all correspondence to Maria A. Sedotti, Coordinator of Orientation Services/Liaison UConn Parents Association.
