Resource Policy Division    Oregon Department of Forestry

The Resource Policy Division is comprised of two programs - Private Forests and Resource Planning.

Private Forests Program
The Private Forests Program integrates the former Forest Practices and Forestry Assistance Programs. Our services encompass various aspects of promoting and supporting landowners in improving forest health, timber production, fish and wildlife habitat, soil and water quality, recreation opportunities, and aesthetics of private forests through information, technical assistance, financial incentives, and regulation.

Resource Planning Program
The Resource Planning Program leads strategic planning, provides credible and objective analyses for the Board of Forestry and the Department of Forestry, and actively promotes policies that encourage sustainable forest management and further the objectives, policies, and programs of the Forestry Program for Oregon and all Oregon forestlands.
