From its inception in 1933 until today, OCE’s mission has remained the same:

To work with the faculty and the academic units to extend the reach of this great institution throughout the state, the nation, and the world to all learners constrained by time, place, and obligation.

We fulfill this mission through an array of partnerships with many units on and off-campus, offering off-campus classes and degrees for students everywhere; assisting faculty in developing online programs for external audiences; and providing broad and comprehensive conferencing services to all campus units.
