Camp Dates:

JAZZ CAMP REGISTRATION will be from 1:00-2:00 PM in the Lobby of the Moody Music Building on Thursday, June 7.

CONCERT BAND and PIANO REGISTRATION will be from 12:00-1:30 PM in the Lobby of the Moody Music Building on Sunday, June 10.

The auditions for Senior Concert Band chair placement  (Grades 10, 11 and 12-Fall 2011) will include six major scales and arpeggios, two octaves where possible from memory and a brief sight-reading exercise.  The audition for Junior Concert Band chair placement (Grades 7, 8 and 9-Fall 2011) will include four major scales and apreggios, two octaves where possible from memory and a brief sight-reading exercise.  These auditions are for chair placement only!

Campers go bowling Make your plans now to be a part of one of the most educational, enjoyable, and life-changing experiences that will ever be available to you…Crimson Music Camp 2012!  The camp will be expanded this summer to include our new Double Reed Camp. We will again offer the wonderful experiences in concert band, jazz, and piano that we have in years past.

This year, we are pleased to offer instruction for students who will have completed grades 6-11 in our Jazz, Double Reed, Concert Band and Piano Camps. We highly encourage your middle school/junior high age students to take part in this wonderful opportunity! Our “Junior Camp Band” was very successful last summer and we hope more middle school and junior high students will take advantage of this great opportunity.

Junior French Horns We invite you to be a part of one of the most respected summer camps in our region, the University of Alabama Crimson Music Camps! This summer, we have expanded our offerings to include our new Double Reed Camp designed especially for oboe and bassoon students. A special rate will be offered to Double Reed Camp attendees to encourage these students to attend BOTH camps!

Our camps offer small group sectionals and coaching, specialized courses, and master classes…all this while spending time sharing music with some of the most outstanding musicians and teachers in the country. We also provide our campers with a Crimson Music Camp T-Shirt, supervised recreation time each evening, and a fantastic finale concert.
