Where Does ILLINOIS Rank?
In September 2010, The Wall Street Journal named our College of Business one of the top three programs in the country for educating students who are considered top-rated by recruiters. And our MBA program has been named one of the top 40 programs in the country by several major rankings, including: U.S. News & World Report and BusinessWeek.
In January 2011, BusinessWeek named the Illinois MBA a top school for return on investment. The study looked at the average amount of time it takes to recoup the costs of an MBA education at various institutions around the world. The Illinois MBA was ranked 9th overall, and 3rd among U.S. universities, with an ROI of 3.42 years.
As part of the University of Illinois, our program also benefits from the world-class reputation of the university itself. For the past seven years, the University of Illinois has been named one of the top 25 universities in the world by the Academic Ranking of World Universities publication, which is regarded as one of the most influential and widely observed international university ranking systems.
In addition, ILLINOIS has been consistently identified by U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Colleges as one of the nation's top 15 public universities. In 2011, their rankings also listed the ILLINOIS College of Business as one of the top 15 undergraduate programs in the United States, with several individual departments in the top 15 as well, including: accounting, finance, operations management, real estate, insurance, and management.
U.S. News & World Report rates the nation's universities and colleges using measures that reflect the quality of students, faculty, and educational resources as well as on how well the institution educates its student body.
