Rutgers Summer Research Program

rise_logo Current sophomores, juniors, and non-graduating seniors are invited to apply to the RiSE (Research in Science and Engineering) program.
Students with strong academic credentials, a passion for research in the STEM disciplines or social sciences, and an interest in graduate school may apply. The program particularly encourage applications from underrepresented minorities and students from disadvantaged or first generation college families.
The RiSE advantage includes:
CUTTING EDGE SCIENCE in over 30 programs in the sciences, math, engineering, and social & behavioral sciences. In the biomedical sciences, students can choose among over 200 labs at Rutgers, the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the Cancer Institute of New Jersey.  In addition, the program offers exciting interdisciplinary opportunities through NSF IGERTs and REU partnerships -- sustainable fuels (biofuels, synfuels), nanotechnology for clean energy, stem cells & cellular bioengineering, and pharmaceutical engineering.
OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - rigorous training in scientific speaking & writing, GRE prep, grad school workshops, career exploration, and field trips

Deadline: There is no hard deadline. Applications are reviewed in the order completed, and admission continues until all open spots have been filled.
Note: This program is for current sophomores-non-graduating seniors. First year students with exception credentials may be eligible.
