Classroom Response System or "clickers"

Clickers or Classroom Response System (CRS) allow you to participate in class by responding to questions posed by your instructor.  Through the use of these TV remote-like devices you can have an active “voice” in the classroom and your instructor can get a better idea of how well you understand something, how you feel or what your vote is on a given topic.  UConn chose the i>clicker 2 by i>clicker as the sole University clicker to eliminate the need for you to own and carry around more than one device . The cost of i>clicker 2  is modest and it should last through your UConn career.  There are no registration or other costs associated with i>clicker 2.

Do you already have an old CPS clicker?
If you have a CPS clicker (our previous clicker) you may trade it in for a $10 mail-in rebate with proof of purchase of a new i>clicker 2 until June 2012. Please click here

The UConn COOP bookstore will buy back the i>clicker2 for $20. We, of course, recommend retaining your clicker until you graduate. The i>clicker technology was adopted by the University in the Fall of 2011 and we expect to continue with its use for at least the next 4 years.

i>clicker 2 is simple!
One of the best things about i>clicker 2, besides being so simple to use, is the fact that it will work right from the first day of class without being registered.  If your instructor keeps track of your clicker responses for credit in class you will eventually need to register your clicker to associate your name and net ID with your device.   Your instructor will let you know when and where to register.
