Our Collections

Print Collections

The Library’s collection includes 305,000 print volumes, 555,000 microforms, and 8,258 current electronic and print serials subscriptions. Collection strengths are in the humanities and social sciences with more modest holdings in the sciences. Book acquisition primarily supports current course and qualifying exam requirements.

Strengths include CUNY dissertations; the most complete collection of Presidential Papers in New York City (in microform); and ERIC documents on microfiche.

Activist Womens’ Activist Voices Archive, 1995 – 2000.

Deiro Finding Aid is an archival collection of materials related to the professional and personal lives of Guido Deiro (1886-1950), Pietro Deiro Sr. (1888-1954) and Pietro “Lee” Deiro Jr. (1913-1999).

Graduate School & University Center Archives Reports, correspondence, pamphlets, books, periodicals, and other materials documenting Graduate Center operations.
