The predominant spoken language is English, but in parts of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland their native language is still spoken.
What newcomers to the UK might find confusing are the numbers of different regional accents and dialects which can on occasions be difficult to understand, even for native English speakers!
It is possible in the early days of your stay in the UK, that you’ll need some assistance in interpreting or translating English into your preferred language. Interpretation services are often available locally and details of where and how to access them are normally available from your local authority or Citizens Advice Bureau.

We don't have a 'messenger function' on the site at the moment. That's because some of our members are under 18 and it's very important for us to protect them on the internet. Hopefully we will soon have a solution for that problem and when we do, some sort of function to let our users contact each other will follow after that!

Yes, We have wide range of dialects and accents in all regions of the country,like Punjabi,Sindhi,Balochi,Pashto,Kashmiri,Bilti,Brahvi,Saraiki,Hindko,Pthohari etc. Urdu is our national langguage.But english is the official language. So,Urdu chain us and we can communicate with almost all ends of the contry. And English language is a tool to communicate with many nations, internationally.
Ofcourse, different accents and dialects are difficult to understand sometimes but they have something common as well.
Yes,in everyday life we met people belongs to different regions at bus stop, workplace, public place etc. and we bcome a link, a source of information,an interpreter a translator for them. how much we help them depends upon our capacity to understand the accent of a language spoken between the people.
Yes,this experience is interesting as well as demands patience too.And sometimes we come to know that how much we are poor in our mother tongue too,when we can't translate it for others. Knowing the other languages alongwith your mother and national language is blessing, You are able to know people their culture ,you can make the world your friend,You can share their happiness and sorrows, together we can make this world peceful beutiful and worth living, we can come close to be aand renain friends. I am a social person, i like things like that.
