problem with apostrophes
hi there,
I have some problem with apostrophes in every exercise, coz I make it ( ctrl+alt and number 7 - there is sign for apostrophes) and that haven`t worked. I`ve done exercise correctly but that not recognized as true.
have anyone had the same problem ? and maybe give an advice ?

Actually, if you are typing the symbol in your comment, it's not an apostrophe, it's a 'backtick', which looks similar, but is slightly different. I think on your Bosnian keyboard, the apostrophe might be to the right of the 0 (zero) key.

Please explain for me

I am not sure that I can understand the difference between ''the boy's'' and ''the boys' '' in the example 2. Can you explain for me, please?

boys' vs. boy's

you have to use the (') before the s like brother's to indicate that it is for only one brother
and use the (')after the s like brothers' to indicate that it is for more than one brother , meaning plural ;)

i think,
the boy's mean,
it's stand on the sentence ,
in some sentence the boy's mean - the boy is or the boy has .
i don't know what your sentence prefer it.
eg:-
The boy's too sensitive. (boy is)
The boy's finished his homework . (boy has)
the boys..
eg:-
The boys are handsome.(=all boys are handsome)

Difference between boy's and boys'
Dear Tracey,
Both the nouns are possessive in nature, but when we say boy's, it means something that belongs to the BOY and boy is singular noun here. And when we say boys', it means something that belongs to the BOYS and it's plural.
hence the difference is of being "Boy" as a singular and plural noun.
