If you can tell us what type of essays you are writing, and why, then we can give you some more specific advice.
In the meantime, try the advice one of my colleagues gave me. When writing, think of your paragraphs as if they were hamburgers! They need topic sentences and conclusions, which are like the bread, and the supporting sentences in the middle, like the meat. Organising your ideas in this way can improve your writing clarity, which is very important!
