Terms and Conditions

The English Challenge competition is subject to the following terms and conditions. By entering this competition entrants are deemed to accept these terms and conditions.
1. The English Challenge competition is open to learners of English of all language levels who:

• Are aged 16 or over
• Are Arab citizens living in any of these countries (Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestinian Territories, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen)
• Register on the LearnEnglish website
• Other than employees of the British Council, their relatives, family, or household members.

The Competition Organiser reserves the right to require proof of eligibility.
2. Entries must be submitted by one individual and only one prize will be given to the winner.
3. This English Challenge competition runs over three months: October, November and December with a different set of questions every month. Correct entries every month are eligible to monthly prizes.
4. An entry is a submission of the correct answers to the monthly questions about LearnEnglish website.
5. Entries must be submitted online using the online entry form here. Contact details and all other mandatory fields must be completed.
6. All entries must be submitted online on the 15th of November for October questions, then the 15th of December for November questions, and the 15th of January for December questions.
7. Entries received after the deadline of any month will not be considered.
8. There are three sets of prizes on offer to winners: Three entrants from every participating country in the region will win either an iPad2, a laptop or a mobile phone from that British Council.
9. The three winners from every participating country will be selected at random by a draw held by the British Council. Participants who have given the correct answers for all the questions in one month are eligible to enter the draw.
10. The British Council’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. Winners will be notified by telephone or email and a list of prize winners will be published on the LearnEnglish and other British Council websites. All reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winners. If the winners cannot be contacted after all reasonable efforts the British Council will conduct another draw to select another participant who got all the answers right.
12. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be sold. The British Council reserves the right to substitute, in their reasonable discretion, any prize with a prize of equal value. No cash alternative will be offered for the prize.
13. By entering, any subsequent prize winners agree to allow, and consent to, British Council use of, and right to publish, entrant’s name, photographs, images, all personal and other information (including general locations) for purposes of British Council publicity, promotional and news purposes (including use in printed publications, editorial and PR activities, on websites) related to this competition.
14. The Organiser of The English Challenge competition is the British Council, a body incorporated by Royal Charter and registered as a charity in England & Wales (charity number 209131) and in Scotland (charity number SC037733), whose principal office is at 10 Spring Gardens, London SW1A 2BN.
15. The English Challenge competition is governed by the laws of England, where the competition is hosted.
16. The British Council reserves the right to cancel or amend these terms and conditions without prior notice in the event that unforeseen circumstances make this unavoidable. Any amendments will be published on http://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/ar.

أحكام وشروط مسابقة تحدي الإنجليزية

تخضع مسابقة تحدي الإنجليزية للأحكام والشروط التالية. وبالمشاركة في هذه المسابقة يُعتبر قبول المشاركين لهذه الأحكام والشروط تلقائياً.
1- مسابقة تحدي الإنجليزية متاحة لمتعلمي اللغة الإنجليزية من كافة مستويات اللغة الذين يتمتعون بالصفات التالية:
أ‌- تبلغ أعمارهم 16 عاماً أو أكثر
ب‌- مواطنون عرب يقطنون في أي من تلك البلاد (الجزائر، البحرين، مصر، العراق، الأردن، الكويت، لبنان، ليبيا، المغرب، عمان، فلسطين، قطر، السعودية، سوريا، تونس، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، أو اليمن)
ج‌- يسجلون على موقع تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية (LearnEnglish)
د- أشخاص غير موظفي المجلس الثقافي البريطاني أو أحد أقربائهم أو أحد من أفراد عائلتهم
يحق لمنظم المسابقة طلب دليل يثبت أهلية المشاركة في المسابقة
2- ينبغي تسليم المشاركات من قبل فرد واحد فقط وسوف يُسلم الفائز جائزة واحدة فقط.
3- تجري مسابقة تحدي الإنجليزية على فترة ثلاثة أشهر: أكتوبر ونوفمبر وديسمبر مع توفر مجموعة متنوعة من الأسئلة كل شهر. وتتأهل الإجابات الصحيحة في كل شهر للدخول في السحب على الجوائز شهرية.
4-  المشاركة هي تسليم الإجابات الصحيحة للأسئلة الشهرية المتوفرة على موقع تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية (LearnEnglish).
5- يجب تسليم المشاركات الكترونياً باستخدام نموذج المشاركة الإلكتروني هنا. ويجب إكمال جميع تفاصيل الاتصال والحقول الإجبارية الأخرى.
6- يجب تسليم جميع المشاركات الكترونياً في ١٥ من شهر نوفمبر لأسئلة أكتوبر و١٥ من شهر ديسمبر لأسئلة نوفمبر و١٥ من شهر يناير لأسئلة ديسمبر.
7- لن يتم النظر في المشاركات التي تصل بعد الموعد النهائي المحدد لتسليم الإجابات من كل شهر.
8-  تتوفر ثلاث مجموعات من الجوائز للفائزين: فسوف يفوز ثلاثة مشاركين من كل بلد مشارك في المنطقة بجوائز تشمل iPad2 أو حاسوب محمول أو هاتف نقال من المجلس الثقافي البريطاني.
9- سيتم اختيار الفائزين الثلاث من كل بلد مشارك عشوائياً من خلال قرعة يجريها المجلس الثقافي البريطاني. ويتأهل المشاركون الذين يُسلمون الإجابات الصحيحة لجميع أسئلة الشهر الواحد للدخول في القرعة.
10- يكون قرار المجلس الثقافي البريطاني نهائياً ولن يتم التفاوض فيه.
11- سيتم إبلاغ الفائزين هاتفياً أو عبر البريد الإلكتروني كما سيتم نشر قائمة بأسماء الفائزين على موقع Learn English والمواقع الإلكترونية الأخرى الخاصة بالمجلس الثقافي البريطاني. سيتم بذل أقصى مجهود للاتصال بالفائزين، فإذا لم نتمكن من الوصول إليهم بعد بذل كل ما في وسعنا، سوف يُجري المجلس الثقافي البريطاني قرعة ثانية لاختيار مشارك آخر أجاب على جميع الأسئلة بشكل صحيح.
12-  لا يمكن نقل الجوائز من شخص إلى آخر ولا يجوز بيعها. ويمتلك للمجلس الثقافي البريطاني حرية التصرف في استبدال أي جائزة بجائزة أخرى مساوية في القيمة، ولن يتم تقديم الجائزة نقداً.
13-  من خلال المشاركة، يوافق الفائزون على أن يقوم المجلس الثقافي البريطاني باستخدام ونشر الصور الفوتوغرافية والصور وجميع المعلومات الشخصية والأخرى (بما فيها المواقع العامة) لأغراض الدعاية للمجلس الثقافي البريطاني بالإضافة إلى أغراض ترويجية وإخبارية مرتبطة بهذه المسابقة (بما فيها الاستخدام في المطبوعات والأنشطة التحريرية والأخبار الصحفية على المواقع الإلكترونية).
14-  المجلس الثقافي البريطاني هو منظم مسابقة تحدي الإنجليزية، وهو جهة تـأسست بموجب الميثاق الملكي ومسجلة كجمعية خيرية في إنجلترا وويلز (تحت رقم 209131) وفي اسكتلندا (تحت رقم SC037733)، وتقع مكاتبه الرئيسية في 10 سبرنغ غاردن، لندن SW1A 2BN.
15-  تخضع مسابقة تحدي الإنجليزية لقوانين إنجلترا حيث تجري المسابقة.
16-  يحق للمجلس الثقافي البريطاني إلغاء أو تعديل هذه الشروط والأحكام بدون إشعار مسبق في حال كان من غير الممكن تجنب هذا الأمر لأسباب غير متوقعة. وسيتم نشر أي تعديلات على الموقع http://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/ar
