Welcome

There is a saying in Spanish, "con el corazón en mano" (with the heart in hand), which implies that someone is coming to you or welcoming you with honest and peaceful intentions. The Rafael Cintrón Ortiz Latino Cultural Center at UIC does just that for Latinos and anyone who wishes to expand their knowledge about the cultural heritage of Latino communities and promote the value of cultural diversity.

Banning Bottled Water

Access to clean drinking water is a fundamental human right. Therefore, plastic water bottles are no longer welcomed at the Latino Cultural Center. Banning bottled water from everyday life is an easy resolution and can have enormous positive impacts on our health and the environment, especially when people spread the message to others. Help us de-privatize clean water and contribute to a greener campus and city.
