UVa Microsoft Agreements
How To Obtain Discounted Microsoft Software at UVa
The way you obtain your licensed Microsoft software depends upon who owns the computer on which you are installing it:
- Computers owned by UVa
- Computers owned by UVa students
- Computers owned by UVa faculty & staff (for work at home)
You can also use the Microsoft “Software Chooser” Wizard to aid you in learning how to obtain your discounted UVa Microsoft products.
For Computers Owned by UVa

For Computers Owned by UVa Students
Eligibility: All degree-seeking UVa students (including BIS, but excluding certificate programs and SPCS).

Once students graduate and become alumni, they become permanently licensed for products covered at time of graduation. If students leave without graduating, all products obtained under this agreement must be removed. |

For Computers Owned by UVa Faculty & Staff for Work at Home
Eligibility: All state-funded UVa employees and locally funded employees at Semester at Sea, UVIMCO, Miller Center, and SWVHEC.
