Here at UVA, we're bridging the gap: the gap between nursing and medical school training, between the art of compassion and hard science, between the old ways and the new. What we call Interprofessional Education, or IPE, is a rapidly expanding concept on Grounds, and around the world. It's a way of learning that's rooted in the belief that optimal patient care depends on collaborative clinician care. Training together for 21st century care: that's our goal.
