Dr. Renée Fontenot has been awarded the 2012 Gordon Long Award for the Marketing Educator of the Year from the Georgia Association of Marketing Educators (GAME).

Georgia College graduate students have taken a cutting-edge approach to publishing academic textbooks.

Georgia College’s Dr. Lee Gillis was awarded the 2012 President’s Award for Meritorious Service for his work with the Society of Group Psychology and Group Psychotherapy, a division of the American Psychological Association.

Georgia College professor Dr. Mike Martino has earned the 2012 Educator of the Year Award by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) for his contributions to the fields of exercise science and human performance.

Alice Friman, Georgia College poet-in-residence, has earned this year’s Georgia Author of the Year Award in poetry from Georgia Writers Association (GWA) for her fifth full-length collection of poetry, “Vinculum.”
