Launched in fall of 2005 to reflect the wide range of the university’s international engagement and research, the Review is published twice annually, once each semester. Contributing to the Review are faculty, staff writers, students, and administrators. Featured sections include Global Focus, Illinois in the World, The Arts at Illinois, The Academic Nook, and Global Engagement.
International Programs and Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, in collaboration with ATLAS, produces Illinois International, a program that brings a heartland focus to the exploration of world affairs and globalization processes. Season four begins in February with new episodes airing every four weeks throughout the spring on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 9 a.m on UI-7 on Comcast Cable, the University of Illinois' own TV station. In a continuing effort to highlight and promote University of Illinois faculty research and expertise, International Programs and Studies is teaming up with WCIA to air news segments on The Morning Show. These segments will feature Illinois faculty addressing current international events and issues.
The position is an unpaid, 5-hour per week internship with International Programs and Studies. The student communications intern will provide communications support for International Programs and Studies while gaining valuable experience in communications skills, writing, marketing, and/or public relations. The specific work plan will be determined by the intern’s professional goals in conjunction with IPS unit goals.
